My name is Kamiel, and I’m a whitewater kayaker from Belgium.

I spend as much time as possible on the water, whether it's teaching at a Dutch kayak school, coaching young talent in our local kayak club, and exploring rivers all over Europe in my free time. Sharing the sport with others is one of my favorite things to do, whether it’s helping someone master their first tailee or discovering a new section together.

That being said, I’m still studying. That means I unfortunately have to divide my time between school and being on the river, but whenever I can, I choose kayaking.

I converted my Volkswagen Caddy into my very own adventure companion. It takes me to rivers near and far and makes road trips a big part of the kayaking lifestyle I love.

I’m a huge half-slice fan! Over the years I’ve paddled almost the entire Spade lineup: from the Barracuda to the Joker and from the Black Jack to the Starfire, and loved them all. These days my Slick is my go-to for teaching and all-round river missions, my Fullhouse is my perfect for creek boating, and my Starfire is what I take when I want to play my way downriver, especially on courses while paddling with the club.

Aside from just paddling, I love creating videos about my adventures, both in and out of the water. That way, I get to share my passion for this amazing sport with as many people as possible.
