Slick
Pfeil

With every new boat design, we learn how important it is to work on the details. The Slick is designed to bridge the gap between fun and play potential on one hand, and a boat with the necessary reserves for serious whitewater on the other. It should be easy to control. It should fly dry over all features, and the slicy stern should be easy to submerge without reacting too sensitively when things get powerful. Oh, and it should be able to surf well and ideally spin too.

As always, the hull platform and the very deliberately chosen rocker line do most of the work.

When paddling the Slick flat, you don't initially feel like you're in a half-slice boat. The wide platform, extending from the bow to just behind the seat, gives the boat incredible stability and allows it to float high on the water. This makes quick corrections and sweep boofs easy and energy-efficient.

For us, a controlled and smooth edge transition without surprises is clearly one of the most important handling characteristics of all our models. With the Slick, a new dimension opens up here, where the slicy stern is suddenly activated. This not only reveals play potential when submerging and splatting, but also allows for very precise and controlled bow lifts, should the features become larger than the primary rocker line can handle.

The deck really only needs to do a few things well. It shouldn't get in the paddler's way, and it plays a big role in the sensible distribution of volume and seat ergonomics. And it has to look cool…..Check!

The feedback we received from our team paddlers about the Slick confirmed that we hit the bullseye with our concept. The Slick flies, skips, slices, and splats as if someone had planned it that way!
