Hi, I'm Max. I'm 16 years old and I come from the beautiful Salza Valley. Since my father also spent many years in a boat, I've essentially been paddling for as long as I can remember. However, things really took off in 2020 when we got a new fleet of Spade kayaks for our kayak school. A year later, I bought my first own boat, a Spade Bliss. During that time, I also went on my first paddling trip to the Soča. In 2023, I met Hans at the Salza Rodeo, and through him, I got to know many great people in the scene. I also got myself a Barracuda, as it suited my paddling style and demands much better than the Bliss. In the same year, I also dared to tackle technical Class IV whitewater for the first time. With the Enns and Salza as my home rivers, I'm in the perfect position to simply go for a few relaxed runs after school or work and improve my skills. I've also started motivating friends who otherwise wouldn't have access to whitewater and taking them along to the Salza. Currently, the Spicy Joker is my boat of choice, whether it's the more challenging upper Kummerbrücke section or just a playful run on the Salza. However, if things get heavier and more powerful, I definitely lean towards the Full House. I hope for many more adventures with my Spade kayaks.
